SC pics
Here are a few pics from our trip to SC. We had a blast. I didn't die of smoke inhalation, which I was seriously concerned about. :p

Busy
So, it's been a while since I've posted. It seems as though I've barely had time to come up for air since Mike has been home. I've not knitted an single thing since he returned, can you believe it? Here's a what we've been doing lately.
Shopping....
That's a 42" LCD HD Vizio TV. We love it. The night we bought it, we watched National Treasure 2...turned the volume way up, kept the lights off and all crammed into the living room. Felt like we were at the movie theater. :p

Silly things...Mike and Devin are going to do some hiking next month. We ventured to two different REIs in Atlanta to purchase their equipment. Of course, they didn't have the particular tent Mike wanted, but Ebay did. :-) Mike and Liberty tried it out in the living room the night it arrived.
Swimming. It's HOT, HOT, HOT in GA right now. We've all had the sun burns to prove it too.

Shopping....
Riding bikes....not me in particular, but everyone else has been riding a ton.
Wednesday, we're headed to Greenville to spend some time with Mike's Dad. We're hoping to hike a bit, take the kids to the local water park and eat at Sticky Fingers. Oh, and Mike is planning to play a round of golf with his Dad. That ought to be a riot.

HE'S HERE!
After a VERY long night, he is finally here. We got to the airfield aroune 10:30, and didn't get home until almost 2:30am. I had forgotten Benjamin had Kindergarten graduation practice today, so we had to be up by 8am to get there in time. Good thing we're running on adrenaline right now. :-) Thanks so much to everyone who prayed for his safe return. It is finished!

Denial
I think I'm in denial. My husband will be home in less days than there are fingers on one hand, and I havent' done a thing. I have a laundry room FULL of laundry. I have an entire house that needs to be vacumned. I have a Suburban that needs to be cleaned out lest it's rightful owner blow a gasket. ;-) I have counters that need to be cleaned off, as I suffer from Flat Surface Syndrome. What did I spend my Saturday doing? Taking a nearly 2 hour bubble bath and reading two Beverly Lewis books. Lord help me.

KAL anyone?
One of my knitting goals for this year was to knit something for a charity. I knew I wouldn't be able to knit oodles and oodles of hats, but this I might be able to do. A toddler sized sweater in thick yarn. ;-) If you're interested in following along, here's the blog address. Jean knits a ton of sweaters/mittens for charity, and knits them rather quickly! This particular pattern is her own, and I can't wait to start it.

Delays
The time for my husband to return is drawing near. I should expect delays, right? AirTran, the commercial airline who contracts for the Army, went bankrupt last week. It wasn't supposed to affect our guys coming home. Surprise, surprise, it has. The advance party was due home this week. Now they won't be home until next week. Dh says my birthday may come and go, and he won't be home. The delays are expected to be 48 hours to 9 days. Yee-haw. Mike did tell me that he'll bring me to any yarn store I want to go to in either Atlanta, SC or NC and he'll buy me whatever luxurious yarn I want, as much as I want. I think I'll keep him.
ETA: Apparently it wasn't AirTrain, it's ATA. I don't care enough to research it more. A delay is a delay, no matter which airline it happens to be.

Finished At Last
The pattern doesn't show up nearly as much as I was hoping it would, and the yarn is doing some sort of weird spiral striping, but I do love them. More details another time. ;-)
The other day, Liberty woke up from her nap and said, "Would you like to make oatmeal cookies with me?" Oatmeal cookies (aka No-Bake Cookies) are her absolute favorite. She even eats them for breakfast. They are oatmeal you know. ;-) I had to snap this picuture of her.
