Tomorrow we're leaving for NY. I probably shouldn't have just typed that for all the world to see, eh? I know I should be looking forward to this trip, but honestly, I am totally dreading it. Maybe it's the 2 loads of laundry I still need to do before I can finish packing. Maybe it's the fact that I have to drive 1200 miles with 5 kids and 2 dogs. Maybe it's the fact a snow storm is supposed to blow in on Sunday. Or maybe, just maybe, it's the fact that my brother lives there again? Hmph. I certainly hope my kids have a good time and show me some gratitude. ;-)
I finished one of the Noro socks. I LOVE it. Even though it's scratchy to knit with, it feels just fine once it's on the foot! I adore the way the colors are striping as well. I know you're dying to see a photo, so I won't keep you waiting any longer.
I started the toe of the other sock last night, but only finished a couple of rows. I'm hoping to have it finished by time I come back from NY though. I've got plenty of knitting packed. We'll see how much I get done. Here's a sneak peek of another pair of socks I'm working. The yarn is Thank Ewe, which might possibly be the softest yarn ever, pattern is Roza or is it Rosa? I'll clarify that later.
It's Roza. I just checked. ;-) I believe the pattern is in the Spring 2007 issues of Interweave Knits. I also have a pair of Camo socks for Benjamin started, but no pictures. I must work on them while in NY. He's feeling a big neglected because I set the socks aside. The poor deprived boy that he is. :-) Wanna know a secret? By time I come back from NY, we'll be very near the two month mark. I cannot wait!!!!!!
